I am also having problems with this, PE2950, Server 2008 enterprise.  Have installed the latest drivers and management app, but it reports that there is no TOE license.  When Server 2003 was previously installed TOE was reported to be licensed for 1024 connections.  Any advice?

After a little more searching it would appear that Broadcom haven't yet released a Windows 2008 driver that will support TOE.

Hurrah!

Broadcom's latest drivers do support TOE, however TCP chimney offload is disabled by default in Windows Server 2008.  To enable it, from an administrative command prompt type:

"netsh int tcp set global chimney=enabled"

TOE can then be enabled in BACS.

Yes, I opened cmd and  typied  "netsh int tcp set global chimney=enabled", and then restart the server. But I see the following when I add the adapter into the teaming:

Availabel Adapters    TOE    LSO    CO    Teamable

Adapter Name          No      Yes    Yes    Yes

Any idea?

Do you have a Broadcom 5708 NetextremeII ethernet adapter?  If so have you enabled the TOE capability in the BIOS?  Also have you installed the broadcom advanced control suite software and drivers?  The latest versions are available from dell's support site.

We have four Broadcom 5708C NetXtreme II GigE ehternet adapter. The driver is 4.1.3.0, the driver date is 1/10/2008. I have installed the Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 3, its version is 11.3.13.0. How do I enabled the TOE capacity in the BIOS? And how do I check TOE capacity is enabled or not in the BIOS?

The following is that I see at the BIOS of our server:

Embedded Gb NIC1 …………………………. Enabled with PXE

MAC Address………………………… 001EC9B855D3

Capability Detected…………………. TOE

Embedded Gb NIC2 ………………………… Enabled

MAC Address……………………….. 001EC9B855D5

Capability Detected………………… TOE

Thank you!

If it says TOE capability detected, then the motherboard has the license codes entered (I have heard of instances where dell have not installed the license codes properly) - this is not the issue.  I suggest that as a next step you get hold of the later drivers - I have recently downloaded drivers from the dell support site - the intermediate driver (bxnd60a.sys) is 4.4.15.0 dated 5/14/2008, the NDIS driver (bxvbda.sys) is 4.4.50.0 dated 9/18/2008 and the control suite is 11.3.14.0 (This shouldn't make any difference though).  Notice the American date format!

Thank you

Could you tell the downloaded link in the DELL support site? I have found 17 items at the Network when I select PE1950 server and the Windows 2008, and I am sure which item I need to download.

In additional I have found some in Broadcom web site, please see the following link:

http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/netxtremeii.php

I don't know the driver for Windows 2008 is suitable?
