Install Win2003 on PowerEdge 3250 - need a Boot CD

You dont need a special boot CD. Its easier to install with a server assistant CD but its Not Required.
If your system is still supported you can get the "special" cds via a Dell Open Manage Subscription.

Hi, thanks a lot for that hint. Unfortunately we do have only for our PE 700 an OpenManage Server Assistant an that don't run on a PE 3250 :-(. If we purchase the OpenManage Subscription Service we will get the 1st CD at the next schedule. Is there any possibility to get the last CD as download or could anyone send me a copy??? The Server Assistant CD will not work with the PowerEdge 3250 since the PE3250 is a 64-bit Itanium system and not a 32-bit (or EM64T) P4 or Xeon system.  You will need a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition or Datacenter Edition CD and license specifically for Itanium.  http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/64bit/bulletin.mspx will explain a bit more about it.  The drivers for the PERCs that are supported on the 3250 are native to the Dell OEM CD, but I do not know if they are native to the acutal Microsoft retail copies.
