Intel Gigabit ET Quad Port Server Adapter teaming under Windows Server 2008 R2

I am trying to configure an Intel Gigabit ET Quad Port Server Adapter to team the 4 ports together for load balancing on Windows Server 2008 R2. According to the Intel Proset ANS they appear to be pooled together in "Team #0" (Although the Windows properties shows the Broadcom Advanced Server driver checked for this team, though there are no Broadcom NIC's added. The team does not show in Broadcom's Advanced Control Suite Teaming utility. I tried setting the team up in the Broadcom utility but it wouldn't create a team without a Broadcom Adapter) The on motherboard adapters are a pair of Broadcom 5716C NetXtreme II. They are connected to a secondary network and appear to function. I set the IP for for the "Team#0" adapter 10.0.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0, & can't even ping itself. (I get PING: transmit failed. General failure.)

Thanks that unfortunately didn't help. I was able to work around it by creating a team with one of the Broadcom NICs and using that instead of the Intel. I also had to manually clear and recreate the routes from the cmd line

Here is a link to the manual for the Intel adapter manual.  It references mixing the Broadcom and Intel adaptors in a Team.  When you have the Intel adapter installed you will want to manage the team thru the Intel Intel® PROSet software.
