Issue with PowerEdge R740XD
We have bought some new disks for our PowerEdge R740XD server. We have inserted 12 disks in the frontbays of the server. I can detect all 12 disks in the iDrac but the Windows Server 2019 OS does only detect 11 disks. I tried to upgrade the server firmware and chipset drivers but the new disk is not being added. In the Windows Admin Centre I see for our other R740XD it got a storage location like: Slot 3 but for this server the location of the disk is: "PCI Slot 0 : Adapter 0 : Port 0 : Target 11 : LUN 0"
The storage controller installed is: Dell HBA330 Mini (Embedded)

Hello,
did you make some change in the backplane configuration after Windows installed?
If so, please try to upgrade HBA330 drivers, it should resolve the issue.
You can download from here:

Thanks

Thanks I will try that. I did modify the disks after the Windows installation
It exacly looks like this issue: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/poweredge-t320/server_tsg/host-bus-adapter-mini-is-missing-physical-disks-and-backplane-in-windows
I will post you the results once I have upgraded the drivers.
