Load CentOS 6 ISO in the vFlash
Hi,
Can anyone suggest how I can load the CentOS 6 ISO (less than 300 MB) on a R510 Dell vFlash.
I have tried through iDrac going to System > vFlash > Create from Image and then upload the ISO (chose emulation type CD). It goes to all the way to 100% but then the partition that should contain the image does not show up in the list. Could it be because ISO is not a valid image format?
Thanks.

vFlash isn't supported for installing and running an OS from.
Someone else posted a while ago that figured out how to use the 1-time boot option to boot to an OS he/she has installed on the vFlash card, but couldn't figure out how to set this as a default boot device. I think it just wasn't an option.
Most (all maybe?) Dell servers with vFlash have an internal USB port. I'd suggest to put a USB key in there and install your OS on there.

Hi, you have to convert the ISO to the IMG image format before uploading otherwise it will not boot. There is more info here on how to configure vFlash on the iDRAC.
