Monitor power supply, event viewer?

PE4300, HBQ23, Win 2K Server. I very recently upgraded from a 1X6 backplane, to a 1X8 backplane, which resulted in a new set of 1" hard drives and fresh install of OS and other related stuff. Everything has been updated, BIOS, firmware, etc, with the latest available.

Prior to this upgrade, I was getting messages in "event viewer", in regards to one of the redundant power supply devices. Basically, the message indicated a lack of 12v output from one of them. I procured a replacement power supply, but since the upgrade, I'm not getting any fault message regarding the "defective" PS. I don't think it has cured itself, and I want to be able to verify correct operation of the replacement PS, when it gets installed, and monitor the other 2 units.

I don't know if I failed to re-install something, to not get any errors, or what. I found an old link for "DSET" utility, but it is no longer valid. What utility do I need to get this information?

Thanks

Hi Dave,

2 things happened during your rebuild process which very likely resolve the power issue. You upgraded the System BIOS and ESM Firmware which would resolve the issue if it was a "false" voltage error. Changing the backplane and hard drives could have resolved the issue if it was caused by a poor connection. Reseating cables / components very often will resolve this type of issue.
