OS Compatibility
Hi
I'm wanting to use Server 2008 R2 Enterprise on a CS24 dual quad core system in order to run some applications and possibly some VMs using Hyper-V. I've read some reviews stating the CS24 isn't compatible with that OS.
Are they correct and will it not work if installed?

The DCS CS24-SC is not a server we sold to the public. It was a custom solution. We do not have any public documentation for the server. I was not able to find any internal documentation on the server either. The only documentation I could find on the server was on this web site:

According to the spec list it is compatible. Unfortunately you will not be able to get a lot of support on custom units purchased second hand. Custom units are typically supported by specialty groups or onsite engineers. We do not have specifications, training, or manuals available to us on this equipment.

Then Dell needs to not be selling these on their Off Lease Site. Dell Financial Services is selling these for next to nothing. Currently $65 on clearance.
