PowerEdge 2850 - Successful Windows Server 2003 Installation?

Has anyone managed to successfully install Windows Server 2003 on a PowerEdge 2850?

Have been trying to configure a small stand alone domain with a single server and 10 XP workstations (no other connectivity) but have been unsuccessful.  Dual NICs appear to be the issue.  Have tried configuring the NICs as a team but the DNS Server Wizard objects and claims that there is a dynamic IP address when it wants a static IP address.  nslookup then can't see the server and the XP clients can't see the domain even though they can log onto the network.

Have also tried disabling one of the onboard NICs (in bios) and installing Win 2003 but then Win 2003 cant appear to see any NICs and claims that there there is no TC/IP configured and won't configure the DNS Server properly.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I too had a similar problem while attempting to use Nic Teaming on a Dell Poweredge 2800 running Windows 2003 Standard.

Once I attempted to use the NIC Teaming I encountered a great deal of problems with DHCP, which in turn also disabled Remote Installation Services. Basically it was stating that there was not a static IP address to bind DHCP to, and dhcp would not operate.

I was unable to resolve the issue in the time allotted so I had to disable DHCP, and RIS and move both those services to another server.

I tried everything I could think of including removing the network drivers entirely, and installing them from scratch. However due to the nature of Windows Plug and Play I will probably need greater documentation to remove the network drivers correctly.

The machine works fine in all other aspects except a network browsing issue, which actually works in my favor as It keeps people from nosing around on what is basically a public network at a library.

If anybody has any information on this problem I would greatly appreciate it, as I have 2 more servers of this type to setup and would very much like to use NIC Teaming and DHCP on the same box.

Thanks
