PowerEdge 2970 SMBIOS Problem

I recently upgraded from 2003 R2 -> 2008 R2. Everytime I reboot I get an error saying the computer was not shut down correctly. Also, in event viewer I see an error that says "SMBIOS data is absent". I'm not sure if these two are related or not. I did update to the latest bios hoping that would help. Has anyone else seen this error?

Try this ... the Chipset driver - does your CD/DVD drive also not work?:

Have you tried in Device Manager choosing Update Driver, then pointing to the C:\dell\drivers\R234305 folder?

The DVD drive works just fine. I can't figure out how to install this driver. If I right-click on it and select install it says this driver can't be installed that way. I don't see any missing drivers in device manager.
