1.       What tape drives can I add into my system?

Dell offers several several Tape Drives for the PowerEdge 4600 depending on price range versus the amount of data storage needed.

Note:     &nbspIt is never advisable to connect a tape drive to either a RAID controller card or to the same channel which your primary hard drives are connected. Dell recommends connecting Tape Backup Devices to either the embedded Adaptec AIC-7899W U160 controller, the embedded Adaptec AIC-7890 U2W (LVD) controller or an Adaptec AHA-39160 SCSI PCI controller card.
