Hello Stefan, I tried to do this but it appears that Storage Server Standard does not have an edition that I can upgrade to or move off of the evaluation version.
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.2.9200.22807
Image Version: 6.2.9200.22807
Error: 50
This Windows image cannot upgrade to the edition of Windows that was specified. The upgrade cannot proceed. Run the /Get-TargetEditions option to see what edition of Windows you can upgrade to.
The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log
Storage Server is OEM-only, so this doesn't surprise me ... I'm just not sure why there is even an evaluation available for it.
You could try converting it to ServerStandard then seeing if your key will work (since it just expands on the same functionality in the Standard version) ... I doubt this will work based on the fact that get-targeteditions doesn't list anything as a compatible upgrade (but makes sense knowing it is OEM-only).
You could also leave it in Evaluation mode. Should be good for 180 days, and you can re-arm it [at least] 3 times, giving you 2 years on this OS and some time to plan its replacement (although a year and a half before 2012 EOL, you should probably be making plans to get rid of it anyway).
I tried to perform that command and received the Windows Script Host message and then ran the command it stated to run to display the error text and then the Windows Activation error prompt came up stating that the product SKU is not found..
so, it looks like, we can not get this one either converted or activated -.-
If the os was purchased with this system, the original owner will have the disk to install the Windows Storage Server then.
Maybe you can get in contact with the seller?
Or you do like @theflash1932 mentioned and use the evaluation version as long as it is possible and think about a newer operating system as an upgrade.
As far as I know, not. Those media is sent out with the system. And it is now way too old to even think if there is still something here. But, let me check this out for you. Could you please send me the systems service tag in a private message.

Hey jdegoyler.
Microsoft offers a document where they describe how to convert from evaluation to retail.
I found this doc here (https://dell.to/2N0utgc).
Best regards,
Stefan

Hey,
I wasn't aware that Windows Storage Server isn't available for DISM upgrade.
Could you please try: slmgr /ipk
I saw a post about this and am wondering if it works for you.
Check out this post (https://dell.to/2MVUb5A).
Cheers
Stefan

We purchased our system from Dell, but it's out of warranty unfortunately. Do you guys have an original disk or ISO that we can get?

Hey,
to sum up here and close this one let me tell to everyone that we are not able to sell the discs after point of sale.
But there are several online sellers who offer the discs w/o a license.
If you need one, simply search for "Dell+4DP10" on any online search machine.
Regards,
Stefan
