Questions about the PowerEdge 4200

Hey all,

I was able to get a Dell PowerEdge 4200 from an office which sold it, and now I would like to clean up all the data from the disks.

Windows NT4.0 Service Pack 6 is on it, but it's password protected and I like Linux more, so...

Well, just finished formatting the first harddisk, but when the system reboots, 3 of the 6 hard drive bays give the orange led with the "!" in it. Failure!
How do I solve this?
The harddisk are 6 Quantum SCSI 18.3GB, it's a PII 200Mhz, with 512 MB RAM.

I really hope someone can help me, cause I don't know anything about this type of computer (I know it's a server. That's why I bought it :P ).

In advanced thanks,

Regards,

René

Hi.  I just read your post and I am wondering if you got it to work or what you found out about the drives??

A question for you, does/did the 4200 have a raid card in it??
