Recreate/Convert OEM Partition to GPT - Safe to delete?
Hi,
I'm trying to install Server 2016 on my new Poweredge T430. UEFI is enabled but the drive is formatted with MBR rather than GPT. I do not have any Dell installation disks.
How can I reformat the drive to GPT and recreate the OEM partition?
Additionally, I would like to know what is on the OEM partition and, failing recreating the partition, is it safe to delete it? Would I loose anything important?

No, delete all the partitions, then let 2016 install to the unpartitioned space ... it should automatically format it to GPT.
OEM partition only contains diagnostic utilities that can be obtained elsewhere. It is not necessary. If desired though, it can be recreated by installing the OS using SMTD.
