Reinstall Server 2011 Essentials R1 On T310

I am reinstalling server 2011 essentials on a dell t310 with the following configuration.

OS Name Windows Server 2011 (Small Business Server 2011 Essentials) x64
OS Version 6.1 Service Pack 1 (Build 7601)
System Name SERVER
System Model PowerEdge T310
System Manufacturer Dell Inc.
Processor Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           X3430  @ 2.40GHz
BIOS Version DELL   - 1
IP 192.168.21.23
Windows Directory C:\Windows
System Directory C:\Windows\system32
Locale United States
User Name arnis
Time Zone Pacific Standard Time
Total Physical Memory 16375 MB
Available Physical Memory 11295 MB
Dell PERC S100 S300 Configuration Device [storport] SCSIAdapter

When I use the Lifecycle controller to install the OS I am asked for a location for system drivers. I have the OS install drivers from the support page however they are an exe format. The LC controller seems to want them just as a driver information file. How do I go about obtaining these individual drivers?

BigPapa1,

With the OS driver pack, it installs the new drivers to the lifecycle controller itself. That would then have the newer drivers accessible when you go to install the OS.  So that is one option, the other would be to go through the OS install to the point it is looking for drives, then browse to the specific S100/S300 driver itself.

Let me know how the install goes.

Okay I am going to boot into the existing OS run the EXE files and then run the reinstall through the LC Controller. I will let you know what happens.

Hi Chris,

When I run the OS Driver install it fails at the verification step. I have made sure to update the OS with all of the latest patches. Any other updates I should apply?

Thank you,

Adrian
