It all starts working fine again till the next freeze. Does anyone know what the problem is or how I can fix this? Any Help is higly appreciated..

I too am having this problem, only with a PE 2600 and RH 9.  So far, no resolution.  If anyone knows a solution or has suggestions on possible solutions, please post.  Thanks.

BTW, our server passes all it's hardware diagnostics

I upgraded the BIOS of the machines from support.dell.com and after that I have not seen the problem to date. You should try updating the BIOS.

I have had similar problems running Debian Woody on 1600SC box. "DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE ON COMPONENT NN (80H-FFH)" and "I/O error: dev 08:05" , and "sense key Hardware Error". always at 6:27 AM. Sytem would freeze briefly, then start up and run fine. I upgraded BIOS from A4 to A10 and this has cut down the occurrences from 2 a week to 2 a month, but not eliminated them. Any ideas?
