Server 2003 std for poweredge 2650
Hi hope some one can help, I have just bought a Poweredge 2650 which has got a COA for server 2003 Std edition on it. the problem is that the company has wiped the hard drives and didnot supply a cd to reinstall the OS I have been trying to get hold of a copy of server 2003 Std or a ISo file as i have the pruduct kay and dont wont to have to pay out for another one. it would be nice if it was a dell OEM as the COA has dell on it.
many thanks

Well, if you are lucky, you might be able to find one on eBay before it gets cancelled (as Microsoft says it is illegal to sell OEM media - even without the key - without it's original hardware). You might be able to find it on TrustPrice.com. Or, if you believe in this sort of thing ...

You will only be able to use Dell-branded media for 2003 Standard (non-R2) for your COA to work. It will not work with HP-branded media, generic MS, or Retail/Volume License media.

thanks for your help i will just have to keep looking, I real don't wont to go down that route just yet. its a sham as Microsoft offer a replacement service on OEM dise as long as you have a COA but only for server 2008, not 2003. on the dell site for the states there a page to order replacement cd.
