The Dell OpenManage Server Assistant CD (DOSA) makes the installation of supported Operating Systems convenient, but is not required.
If you do not use the DOSA:
1. The Utility Partition will not be installed. The Utility Partition houses diagnostics and management utilities; again it is convenient, but is not required. 2. You will have to provide the Scsi / Raid drivers manually at the appropriate time during the Operating System install.
