Using DOSA for installation win2000 server on PowerEdge 1850

Question

Hi, This is the first time I'm using DOSA for installing win. 2000 on our PowerEdge 1850. I have completed the first 7 tasks and now it's busy with task 8 (install operating system). The phase where it's in right now is 'preparing for installation' and 89% is completed. Sounds good, but it has taken almost 8 hours to come this point :-( Can someone tell me if this is normal or that I should start over again and do it on a different way? Thanks

8 hours? Whoa, no this is not normal. I'm not sure what you need to do since you don't know what's wrong. It almost sounds like the there is problem reading from the CD but not enough to time out. Where exactly in the prepare phase are you? The partition/array has been created correct? Message Edited by WebExec on 02-24-2005 12:37 PM
