I have now updated lifecycle and all bios and perc firmware. I boot to lifecycle and deploy os. It will boot from CD and will not dww perc 6/1 card. I browse drivers and nothing works. It boots 2008r2 perfectly.
Their is no need to boot to the lifecycle controller, as Flash advised, the PERC 6 driver is native to 2012 R2. Boot directly to the media and give results.

PERC 6 driver is built into Server 2012 R2.
What is the EXACT message you get? or a screenshot? Your installation media for 2012 R2 may be corrupt.

I tried that. Still doesn't see the controller. I am not sure what is going on. I'm not a novice at this but feel like it right now. Frank

Doesn't see the controller or doesn't see the disks to install to? Did you configure AND initialize a Virtual Disk (array) first?
