Windows Server 2003 in 32 bit or 64 bit mode?

A 3rd party vendor is attempting to install some software in our server, they claim the software won't install because it is a 64 bit server, and apparently have solved this problem before by install Windows in "64 bit mode"

We have a Poweredge 2850 with dual 3.2Ghz Xeons. Running Windows Server 2003 Standard Ed.
My research indicates there is no such thing as "64 bit mode", but an actual special version of Server 2003 that runs on 64bit enabled CPU's, namely "Windows Server 2003 Standard Ed. x64"

How do i tell if this is the version that was installed on the server? The "System" icon under control panel only gives Windows Server 2003 and sp1, but does not indicate 32 or 64 bit version.

Looking for information on how to confirm whether or not the 64 bit version of Windows Server 2003 is installed.

Thanks for any assistance.

Look on your order from Dell.  I doubt very serioulsy you got a 64 bit OS unless you specified it.  One tool you can use is Belarc Advisor from www.belarc.com which will inventory yoru system for you and create a full report.

They mean you system is 64-bit, meaning that the Xeon's are X64 Xeons.
But this should NOT affect any software installation.

Also, your server IS a normal 32-bit. Otherwise in the configuration panel it should read Windows 2003 server X64 edition.
