facing problem to create user in windows server 2008 standard edition
Hi
I have a dell server model is PowerEdge tii00 ii and i have installed windows 2008 server standard edition and then install active directory this practive is sucessfull. But main issue is i did nt create user in active directory I face proble and the error is
"Windows cannot set the password for user because the password does not meet the password policy requirments check the minimum password length password complexity and password history requirments." and when i am going to accounts settings and then password policy the length option is disabled. and we can not create user plz some body help me . I am facing big problem/

Hi there,
It may be the case that the minimum length is not set, however you may have the server set to need passwords with a minimum complexity. The complexity requirements for Windows 2008 Server are:
a) Passwords cannot contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive characters.
b) Passwords must be at least six characters in length if "Password must meet complexity requirements" is enabled
c) Passwords must contain characters from three of the following four categories:
- English uppercase characters (A through Z).
- English lowercase characters (a through z).
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9).
- Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %).
