netware 6 drivers

I'm trying to install Netware 6 on the poweredge 400SC.
Which HAM and CDM do I need and where do I get them?
After booting from netware CD I eventually receive the
message "no storage device detected" load HAM.

I have a 400sc as well, do you have a scsi card? If you just have regular ide, the install should have no problems at detecting.

Yes the SCSI came with the server and during setup it recognizes the IDECD but not the storage device. It says to load the HAM not the CDM. Are you running Netware 6 on yours? I'm starting to think that the system is just incompatible with Netware 6.

Yes mine is loaded with netware 6 sp5 overlay cd. Althou mine doesnt have scsi. If your using an original netware 6 cd i would prolly try to download the sp5 english/russian, then burn it and try to install with that. I recently installed a couple xeon servers and the original cd wouldnt work at all, but the overlay cd worked fine. Hope this helps.

Dell did not validate Netware on a PE400.  IDEATA.HAM on the Netware 6.0 CD does not work with this hardware. You may want to try using the Netware 6.0, sp5 overlay CD as suggested by buymeforabucy. It can be downloaded from Novell's support site at http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/2969170.htm. It will contain the latest version of IDEATA.HAM.

Did anyone find a fix for this problem?  I just purchased a pe2850 rackmount server.  Same issue.

I used the Netware 6.5 sp3 overlay cd and I still get the error about no device detected.  Using the dell server install cd I was able to fully install the server, but the cd still is not recognized so I can't mount the CD at all.

Any help is appreciated.
