will 2003 server run on my gx240 opitplex

hi is there any thing i need to buy to make it work-eec ram or any other prodouts-it is now stock apart from a 1.8 northwood cpu and 512 mb sd ram thanks jonathan

It should, I just installed two 2003 servers on homebuild machines of similar size.  One will be a print server and the other will be for terminal services.  We have a PE2500 for the global catalog server.

I've run WinSvr 2k3 on both an Optiplex GX240 and GX270 with no problems.

I ran (briefly) server 2003 on my Inspiron 4100. Even with 512mb ram it took about 15 minutes before I could log in. I felt like I was towing a Semi trailer with a volkswagen.

I have four gx260 optiplex machines running server 2003. I bumped the RAM up to 1 Gb only because more RAM generally helps, not because I had to.
