Using tapes without barcode labels on Dell TL2000
Hi.
Need your help. My Dell TL2000 was delivered without barcodes. Managed to set it up in Windows and detected it in Veeam but in Veeam it says 'Empty' and cannot see any tapes. If I go to the GUI tapes are labeled as 'Unknown'.
Is there something I need to do to use the tapes without barcodes.

Hello Jimalo,
With a TL2000 there is no way to disable the barcode reader. You will need to use the barcode labels to ensure that the media is seen by your backup software. You will get tape alert errors on your TL 2000 that states looking for barcodes.
