Dell poweredge 2950 and HP MSL2024 LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 SAS Tape Library
Hi,
I have a Dell poweredge 2950 (service tag# Service tag removed per privacy policy>)(PERC 5E/5i).
I bought HP MSL 2024 0-drive tape library(AK379A) with two HP MSL LTO-5 Ultrium 3000 SAS drive kit(BL540B).
I could see to external SAS ports on my poweredge server. Could you please tell me is it possible to connect above said tape devices , which SAS cable to use to connet to LTO-5 Tape drive?

Hello Sajeesh,
With the tape library it needs to be on it’s own HBA. If you connect the HP tape library to a PERC card then it has a chance of taking out the array on the PERC card.
