Help needed on installing Powervault MD1000

Question

Hi All, I need to install Powervault-MD1000 on FC6,as iam new to Storage systems,i would like to get few advice or tips as how to go about in installing this storage device on FC6. Regards Vin

Fedora is not listed as a supported O/S on the support matrix, here is a link to the support matrix. Here is a link  for the user docs for the MD1000.   I don't know how restricted the installation is, but you might try the procedures for Red Hat, someone else might reply if it will work or not... Good luck.

Hi Glenn, Thanks for ur reply,i had this info before posting,those technical documents have details about hardware setup,i could not find as how to go about in installing software and detecting it on host OS(FC6 or Red Hat Linux Enterprise Version),hope i do get some light on this . Regards Vin

Got it working on Fc6 with PowerEdge-2900 as server,MD1000 as external RAID Storage device and TL4000 Tape Library also attached on FC6 in SCSI mode.
