How to connect PowerEdge servers to MD3000i???

Just purchased equipment and need a little help getting it all connected.

4xPowerEdge R710 (These will be the four physical devices for our virtual servers and desktops.) (Has two extra PCIe cards with two nics each. A total of eight nics on each server.)

1xPowerVault MD3000i (Has two raid controllers.)

1xPowerEdge 2950 (This will be the VMWare management server and also will have our back exec software.)

1xPowerVault 124T (I guess will be connected to the PowerEdge 2950.)

2xPowerConnect 5424 switches.

The MD3000i support Matrix on Support.dell.com should have diagrams showing the cabling for similar configuration. You can also use the configuration utility with the MD3000i management software to setup you IP and ISCSI connections.

I'm new to this and was actually needing some help on wiring the whole set up. I will take a look at the items posted, but any guidance on how to connect all the network cables will be greatly appreciated.

Dell (in the US and Canada) offers a remote install option for the MD3000i. Did you purchase this? Compared to what you spent on all the hardware it's pretty inexpensive.

I believe that Figure 5 of the Support Matrix is what you are looking for...

It is a best practice to have each switch (and all NICs connected to it) on a different subnet.

You should also figure out how you want to manage the MD3000i. It would be best to manage it from a separate box and have the network connections set up to it appropriately (You might also be able to reuse part of one switch for that).

The rules section of the support matrix lists some of the other best practices.
