Which Dell san do you have as you didn’t list it in your post? Also you stated that you have a failed drive in your san. If your system is over 5 years old then you may want to look at Third Party Company as they sometimes offer warranties longer than dell does. Depending on the system we might be able to extend the warranty up to 7years from date of purchase.

We have two servers Dell PowerEdge R710, one Dell PowerVault MD3200i (12x600GB) and one NAS Dell PowerVault NX300. All this hardware was installed in summer 2012.
In the short term, i need to replace 2 disks in the MD3200i (plus the spare one which didnt want to do his job on the first fail).
Then i need to extend warrantie on the whole hardware.
I am going to send you an email to the email address that you used in your profile. If you can send me the service tags of the systems that you are trying to get your warranties on I can look into this for you.

Hello Sam,

A guy on the phone (Dell support) told me to send a mail to serv_spares_parts@dell.com. I did it but never got an answer. Then i filled the Dell Online Survey at http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/survey.aspx/ss?ssid=c9_NcZ8ISdM~ but i did get any sign of answer since 3 days...
If you can give me a tip-off, you are welcome.
