MD3000 Operation In Progress | Add Physical Disk in Progress

Working on an MD3000 storage for a 2x R710 cluster.

Have one disk group that contained 10 physical 450GB disks and 2 virtual disks. Added an 11th physical disk and it showed up fine as available capacity.

The problem is now it is several days (4-5 days?) it is still in the same state of Operation In Progress >> Add Physical Disk in Progress and not going anywhere and I cannot back out either.

I removed the servers, restarted MD 3000 and even tried to swap the disk that I added with another disk (and swapped back again to original disk). Now the red light is on with MDSM message of Degraded Virtual Disk.

 I am at a point where I must stop and start over again (even if I have to delete all virtual disks).
