Do you have the serial cable that came with your MD3460? It seems to me that your controllers are in a lockdown state or not able to boot up normally. If you have the serial cable, then will need you to capture the boot up of the controllers so that we can look at it to see why the controllers will not boot. Startup a terminal emulation program like putty, teraterm, minicom or hyperterminal using these terminal settings (115200-8-n-1). I will send a private message so that you can send me the logs.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
I have a serial cable, but I'm not sure if it's the one that came with the enclosure. It's USB type A to serial. I also have a serial to ethernet, but I don't have a serial to mini USB, which seems to be the third management port option on the controller. Would either of the two that I do have work out? I am going to give it a shot anyway. If I happen to get anything I will forward it. Thank you again.
Thanks for the support bundle and the serial captures of your controllers. What I am seeing is that you have a battery failure on controller1 of your MD3460. Controller0 is working but since it can’t sync with controller1 it is halting the boot. It is not your raid battery that has failed it is the small circle watch battery that has failed on the controller. Since this battery has failed the controllers can’t stay synced together and as a result the controller have gone into a lockdown state to prevent any issues.
When we see this issue normally tech support will go into the VXshell and run the lemClearLockdown and clearHardwareLockdown & let the controllers reboot. If the error keeps happening after the battery has been replaced and running those commands then you will need to replace the controller.

Hello ITCTS,
The serial cable that is needed is a mini usb to serial connection. The other ones you have will not work to capture the controllers bootup.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
