ML3 tape library multiple hosts
Not sure if on the correct board, but I have an ML3 question.
We are looking at an ML3 library & plan to implement it via a SAS connection, but we need to direct connect it to 2 R730 servers so that both can send jobs to the tapes. Is this possible?

Hello alices,
You can connect 2 servers to your ML3, and have both servers do their own backups. If you are going to have 2 tape drives in your ML3 then you will need to create 2 partitions so that each tape drive can be controlled by each server. Once the tape drives are partitioned on your ML3 then you will just need to install your backup software and make sure it discovers your ML3 tape drive & slots.
