Hi,

The cable assembly does have standard connectors, but its configuration is not common. The standard splitter cable has one male and 2 female connectors, however the Dell assembly has 3 female connectors.

Hi,

The PowerEdge 2600 uses this power cable 310-3402 for tape drives or the optional 1x2 backplane. The cable actually connects to a connector labeled 1x2 on the Scsi backplane as shown on this graphic:

Dell spare parts can be reached by phone at 1-800-357-3355.

Is this a standard connector or do I need to order one from Dell directly?  I mean, is it one of these:

Since I'm connecting only the one device, can I use the standard 1Mx2F to connect it?  That's not going to wreak havoc in my box is it?

It might work if you made sure the male connector was covered properly, but I have not tried and it has not been tested by Dell. "Officially" I cannot recommend it.
