OpenStack Cinder PowerVault ME4 Driver cannot import/manage a volume

Question

After testing the driver (documentation here) I can see that contrary to the documentation, this driver does not support importing/managing a volume that already exists on the PowerVault.Being able to only create and work with volumes that Cinder has created itself is a big inconvenience.If Cinder or OpenStack would have a problem and need to be reinstalled from fresh, reimporting the volume back into Cinder would be a big hassle and make dealing with downtime/faults worse than they should be. Link to the bug report on Cinder's bug tracker I'm not sure if Dell created the driver, but if someone could look into this and provide a fix/add the feature, this would be very much appreciated.

This is not supported by us, unfortunately. We offer a number of custom solution options however, so you might contact Sales, if this is something you need. I don't know the full extent of our custom solution options, but contacting Sales would be the best recommendation I could make to get started.
