Hello Suresh Perumal,
With the MD1200 if you have a single EMM then you will only have a single connection. If you have an MD1200 with 2 EMM & running in unified mode then you will have a single connection as well but will have the redundancy with a second EMM just in case the first one fails. Now if you can also run the MD1200 in Split mode which splits the system in half so that drive 6-11 are connect to EMM 0 and drive 0-5 are connected to EMM1.
Now even though you can have both EMM’s connected to the same controller in your PC only one path will be used unless there is a high volume of traffic then the second EMM will try to load balance from the first EMM.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Dear SAM,
Is there any other way to make the storage to access by multiple Systems or to make the storage centralized? Because the customer requirement is to buy a storage which should access by all PC's in their lab at least 2 to 4 PC's concurrently.
Expecting your valuable answer.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Suresh Perumal,
The issue is that the MD1200 your virtual disk configuration is held on the Raid Controller card in the PC & not on the MD1200. So with you needing to make storage available to 2-4 PC will not be doable with a MD1200.
What you are going to need to do is if you have a server you can connect your MD1200 to the server and then map out the virtual disk to the PC that need to access the virtual disk.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello Suresh Perumal,
Here is the link to the setup guide that shows how you are going to want to connect the MD1200 to your host on page 22. http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powervault/powervault-md1200_Setup%20Guide_en-us.pdf
Now once you have the MD connected and you have gone into the Raid Controller bios or if a dell server OMSA(Open Manage Server Administrator) you can configure your virtual disk & once created & seen by the host then you can map the Virtual disk to each PC that needs access to the virtual disk.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
