PowerVault MD3200i Storage Mgmt. Software Error
We have a PowerVault MD3200i and get the following error when trying to access the SAN: The storage management software (v. 10.80.G6.47) you are attempting to use is not compatible with the firmware on the RAID controller modules in Storage Array XX.XX.XX RAID Controller Module firmware version: 07.84.47.60 RAID Controller Module appware version: 07.84.47.60 Device API version required: devmgr.v108api04.Manager Unfortunately I'm coming into this blind. I've been told the SAN was accessible earlier, but no one has told me if the RAID controller firmware has recently been updated. I'd have to say its pretty obvious something has changed..... Any insights as to where I can obtain new storage management software, plus any gotchas would be most welcome!! Thanks!

Hello Clinic Tech,
For the current version of firmware that you are running on your MD3200i you should be able to use version 5.0.0.70 or 5.1.0.9 Resource CD & install MDSM & have it manage your MD3200i. Here is are the links to both & I would install 5.0.0.70 first as that one should work. The latest version that we release Last month is 5.1.0.9.

What version do I need for 08.25.08.60 and where might I find it? I literally cannot manage it- out of the box- with anything readily and obviously available at the support sight.
This is for a 3800i

Hello caronet,
You will use MDCU (Modular Disk Configuration Utility) to configure your MD3800i out of the box. Once the configuration has been completed then you will use MDSM (Modular Disk Storage manager) to manage your MD3800i. MDSM is found on the Resource DVD.
