Powervault 132T SCSI Reference Manual

Question

Hi all, to monitor my PV 132T tape library from debian linux, I would like to be able to read the SCSI log pages of the tape library. I am able to read the log pages of the tape drives in the library using the IBM tape drive SCSI reference manual. The PV 132T library has log pages 00h and 2Eh, which are standard, but also pages 30h, 31h, 32h, 33h, 34h, 38h, 3Ah, 3Bh, 3Ch, 3Dh, and 3Eh, which are vendor specific. Is the SCSI reference manual for the PV 132T available somewhere? Thanks a lot for any help. Best regards, Christian

Hello Christian,

Some of the SCSI error codes are listed in the user’s guide on page 87. http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powervault/powervault-lto-132t_User%27s%20Guide4_en-us.pdf

For the other ones you may have to check under the orginal maker for them. the PV132t is a rebranded Adic Scalar 24 & they might have the other error codes listed.
