RD1000 Disable software eject
Hello, BackupExec is eject happy. One burp, or error and the drive is spit out like its poison.
Every time it burps, someone has to go get the key to the server room, unlock the cabinet and poke the tape back in. Often, unless the problem has been cleared, in 2-3 minutes it spits it out again
Is there a command that can disable the software eject command?

Hello racassel,
There is on command on that can be ran on the RD1000 to prevent it from ejecting the media. What you will need to do is to check the job setup & if I remember correctly you can uncheck the box for ejecting media after a backup completes or if it has any errors. Also what you can try is to recreate the job & see if it does the same thing.

normally a tape wont eject unless it is not appendable or if it is write protected.
