Veritas Netbackup Device Manager & PowerVault 122T causing blue screen
I have had a new Poweredge 1750 connected to a Powervault 122T LTO-2 up and running for about two months (W2K SP4). I haven't used either because I was waiting for the Veritas software. I installed Veritas Netbackup Server 4.5 and the system blue screens on startup. I restart in safe-mode, disable the Netbackup services, and am then able to restart cleanly.
I uninstalled 4.5 and installed Veritas Netbackup 5.0 - same problem. I eliminated one driver after another until I pinned down the culprit. The Veritas Netbackup Device Manager ("ltid.exe") is the process.
Any ideas of what is going on here?

Do you have the H/D in a RAID config. If so the integrated controller is a RAID controller and the 1750 doesn't support mixed mode RAID/SCSI.
Not sure I follow the driver question. PVTools should work with the 122T. Dell Diagnostics is another tool that will work with the autoloader.

Got it! Some how during the rack assembly my eyes missed the PCI SCSI controller installed in the extra slot and only saw the integrated SCSI connector.
Thanks for the help!
