HI there.

We have just moved office and have lost the SCSI cable that connected our 4600 server to our Power Vault 120T DLT7000 Can anyone please advise me as to which cable I need.

Hi Craig2494,

If you order from DELL spare parts, I believe you need part# 8948X-39160 to Library 4 Meter Cable (68p - VHDCI to 68p).

You may also need a terminator if you lost that one in the move. This terminator would need to be an HVD terminator (as the PV120 DLT7000 is a High Voltage Differential SCSI device (not the more modern LVD version)). I see a few on Ebay when I search for "HVD terminator". I'm not sure on the equivalent Dell partnumber.

You may want to double check your controller card before you purchase the VHDCI cable.... I don't recall that connection on the older differential controller cards.

I think you will just need a HD68pin to HD68pin cable... sorry I don't have a p/n... you should be able to purchase one from just about any computer store that carries SCSI equipment.
