dell PowerVault MD3000i X2R63 controller

Question

Hi All,

i have an MD3000i with the above mentioned controller (only one installed) and it has gotten to the SODMain complete line and i can access it and can access it in Storage Manager. however in the serial session i just get (ssmTimer): Error: ne1617Retry timeout over and over. what does this mean? can it be fixed?

Hello ndn1992,

Are you using the serial cable that came with your MD3000? Also, are you using a terminal emulation program like putty, teraterm, minicom or hyperterminal using these terminal settings (115200-8-n-1)?
