512gb of memory in one machine is a lot (to keep working and error free). I think this is why most people config with ECC memory when you get to 128gb or so. Quad-Channel memory is fairly rare/special. I would hope (and suggest) you keep this machine on a nice UPS (like APC with LCD and AVR).

Sounds like you found a work-around . Maybe someone else can post about Dell-RMT and what it is complaining about.
