How to enable SATA HDD0-4 on T5600 Bios version A19 (PERC Card removed)
I have a T5600 for home use after it was retired from my office. I removed the PERC H310 card and I am currently forced to boot from an SSD plugged into the SATA0 port. The bios (version A19) can see a second hard drive plugged into SATA1 but Windows 10 cannot access it. When I plug drives into the other 4 SATA ports labeled HDD0-4 the bios does not see them and windows cannot see them. Do I need some windows drivers to use these other ports?
Update: I removed the PERC H310 card and I was able to use a windows USB to install windows 10 on a previously formatted hard drive plugged into the SATA0 port. I decided to just unplug the optical drive and use the two SATA ports for my SSD and 1 TB hard drive and forego using an optical drive. I was not able to get the SATA ports labeled HDD0-4 to read any thing at all. This set-up works for me for now and I may continue to research the other ports but I doubt I'll have a use for the optical drive so I may not miss it.

This is by no means a complete answer, however, it will get you started as I too have encountered the same predicament.
I am working from home and today is my Monday, it is also my lunchtime. Hopefully, you'd be miles ahead in 30 minutes and perhaps clue me in on what kinds of commands I need to familiarize myself with and an overview of the various tasks needed to "un-PERC" a T5600 MB and reawaken the Intel SATA or I/O controller so we can boot from it.

It's no War and Peace, nonetheless, it is not my idea of light reading, particularly for a chore you are bound to do once one-way (installing a PERC card) and maybe once to UNdo (uninstalling a PERC card)...enough said!
