I purchased a Precision 3450 S FF desktop i (built in Ireland for the UK market). Having selected Build Your Own I now discover I failed to select a 3rd port ( DP/HDMI/) to connect it to a 3rd monitor.
@bradthetechnut I took a chance on the Intel AX200.NGWG.DTK Desktop Kit, reason being if it's sold as a generic kit by Intel there has to be a high chance of compatibility with most devices.
Photograph below shows the M.2 card along with model numbers etc. It was about 4x the cost of the AX200/201s on Amazon or eBay which I'm not happy about however I'm still unclear on the various models NGWG, NGWG.NVW etc. and didn't want to purchase one that was unsuitable.
The one I ended up with works however has a strange quirk where the Wi-Fi does not become available on the PC for around 90 seconds after Windows logs in. It's irritating but at least I have Wi-Fi now.
@DELL-Chris M I'd be interested to know the part number for the part that would have been supplied if ordered from the factory.
I`m also facing the same isuue on Choosing the compatible Wifi modeule for my Precision 3450 SFF PC.
Intel AX201NGW, WLAN, WiFi 6 is the compatible one as mentioned in Dell official Product Spec sheet. But they`ve not mentioned which form factor of Wifi chip (weather M.2 2230 or M.2 1216) is compatible with Precision 3450 model that i should purchase.
The Difference b/w M.2 2230 vs M.2 1216 form factor modules are as below,
Intel AX201NGW- Variant
Function/Capability
Chip Dimensions
Form factor- M.2 2230
M.2 2230 modules enable system configuration and platform usage flexibility with the use of a standard Key E socket for attaching the module
M.2 2230:
(Width x Length x Thick)
22mm x 30mm x 2.4mm
Form factor- M.2 1216
M.2 1216 modules enable platform design optimization with the use of an Intel CNVi interface between the CNVi and Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 module, providing savings on motherboard space, BOM and PCIe* port, plus allowing for flexible motherboard routing up to 10''.
M.2 1216:
(Width x Length x Thick)
12mm x 16mm x 1.65mm
There`s a M.2 2230 socket already available for Intel AX201NGW_WLAN_WiFi 6+Bluetooth 5.1 module chip in the Intel W580 chipset motherboard of Precision 3450.
@DELL-Chris M Which Form Fcator module should I Buy?
Shall i buy a M.2 1216 and insert it into M.2 2230 socket..? Will it be compatible..? Will it work that way..?
OR
Shall i buy a M.2 2230 sacrificing the Intel CNVi feature available with the latter one..?

It already has 2 DP ports for my 2 monitors
I want to add another monitor to the PC
How do I do that
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi @chris.dempsey
The best I could find in Dell Precision 3450 SFF Documentation, Setup and Specifications Guide:
But I don't know if any of those are BT also.
Easiest bet might be Wifi/BT dongle. Lots of those on Amazon and other sites.
Meanwhile, it's Mon. yet. May be another expert will chime in with a part # and where to get it.

May be @DELL-Chris M can look up the part # for a WiFi/BT 5.0 card for Precision 3450 and where available?

Precision 3450 wireless =
6PP9J Antenna, SFF (Small Form Factor
917H1 External antenna kit
D4V21 DW1820, QCA61X4A WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) + Bluetooth, M.2
XVV0P Intel AX201NGW, WLAN, WiFi 6
They all show as, "For sale = No". So no idea where you could buy them.

From the photo, I couldn't tell one of the letters in the model # is H, M, or N.
If it's taking 90 sec. to kick in WiFi, may be there's a driver for it if it didn't come with one already?

I was also going to mention - "I'm still unclear on the various models NGWG, NGWG.NVW etc." - Same here.
