Precision T7810 and nVidia GTX1660ti compatability

I have a 7810 workstation, with 825W PSU. Put in a GTX1660ti card. Boots into Windows 10, but would eventually throw a BSOD.

BIOS, graphics drivers, etc are all current. No issues with PSU (tried different ones), and memory.

Contacted Dell Support, and they are saying that the mobo chipset C612 and the 1660 graphics card aren't compatible and not supported.

Has anyone else had any issues with 7810 or other workstations with same generation chipsets and newer nvidia cards?

I tried your combo is userbenchmark, showing others successfully use it, and it didn't come up.

Not sure if it'll have what your looking for, but here's the Precision 7810 Spec Sheet.

I got an official reply from Dell saying that 1660 isn't compatible which kind of blows my mind. The chipset is only a few years old. The spec sheet isn't helpful because the turing graphics architecture wasn't available at the time of spec sheet. I found other resellers that sell 7810 workstations with this graphics card, so I'm kind of scratching my head at this point.

I'm having the same issue with a Precision 7810. Won't POST with a GeForce 1650 Super installed.

BIOS A34, 685W PSU

Same card DOES work in my much older Precision T3500
