computer switches off
I have a dell precision T7500 mother board with a tray for a second Processor but whenever i try to insert the tray on the board the computer switches off why ?

First, try replacing the size 2032 CMOS battery if it's 5+ years old.
At what point does the PC shut off - Is it on when you try inserting the riser? PC should be off. Or, after inserting riser, does it shut off shortly after turning on? One more... Do the CPU's and RAM match?
In case it helps, I'm attaching the T7500 Service Manual since it has assembly instructions and RAM chart. Also attaching the T7500 Tech Guide.
