Dell Precision 5510 Black Screen

Hi Team. I bough my new workstation in 2016 for my wife but she did not use it very often due maternity leave.

I regularly turned it on to update the system. One week ago I tried to turn it on again to charge the battery and check some updates. Unfortunately, I got a black screen. There were two signs I could observe.

The led light is always on and some noise of the hard drive. The screen is black without any animation, logo or text messages.

I left it for two hours to charge and ignored the black screen issue. As result, the battery become very large due to high temperature, which was not obvious initially, and it pushed the track pad out of the box. I had to remove the battery to prevent other damages. The power button did not respond at all. The only option to turn the workstation off is to remove the electricity socket.

It seems to me that this workstation useless gift for my family and I just wasted 3k. 

Are there some recommendations about the issue? I can share my tag if it is necessary but the warranty is outdated (2016-2017).
