Precision 7750 Shutdown with Power Button

Recently provided a Precision 7750 laptop at my company.  The non-indented power button location at the top right corner of the number pad is unique to say the least...along with the lack of icon indicating that it is a power button.  This issue I have is if the power button is pressed briefly (not pressed and held) the computer will proceed to shutdown.  The only time it will not fully shutdown is if processes are open and it questions you if that is what you want to do, and you opt to cancel the shutdown.  All power and sleep settings for power, sleep and lid are set to 'sleep'.  Thanks in advance.
