2155cdn Scan to Network with Windows 10 Microsoft Account
I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and I can no longer scan to network with my Dell 2155cdn.
Under Address Book, I updated the Server Address SMB settings. Specifically, I changed the username and password to match the Microsoft ID I now use to login to my Windows 10 machines at home. So, instead of a local account, my user name is now "username@hotmail.com" as an example.
However, I get a SMB Login Error message that states:
"SMB logon failed. Check your login name (domain and user) and password. :031-522"
No matter how I configure it, I can't seem to get this account to work via SMB for scanning to the network. Please help!

MBLAZER78,
You can click the link below to view the online manual. The manual provides information for configuring your printer for different options. The scanning to network information and instructions for setting this up begins on page 348.

Ok, this manual didn't help me, but I found the solution. With Windows 10 the Microsoft ID is not the address, it shows up as an abbreviation. So instead of username@hotmail.com as the login ID, it's something like 'usern'. Use this as the login ID and the full Microsoft ID password (not the PIN) and it should work.
