3000cn can't set password

I'm not able to change any configuration on my 3000cn. I would set a configuration, but a username and password prompt would show up.

I would type in "admin" and the password "0000".

This seems to an incorrect username and password combination. I've tried resetting the password manually by turning off the printer and holding down the menu button when turning on the printer. I've also reset the nvram.
