300CN "Close front door" message will not go away...

Cleared a paper jam from the back of the printer. Removed & replaced drum in the process (which I have done several times). When I closed up the printer, the "Close Front Door" message appeared, obviously I tried to close the door in every possible way. During my troubleshooting, I went through the effort of taking off the side panel and operating the switch (definitely think this is the door switch on the right/upper/front corner). Still message does not change when manually operating the switch.

I also "manually" connected the 2 yellow wires leading to the switch with no change in the error message when I performed this action. Any other troubleshooting ideas I can try?
